The Federal Government today lifted the
suspension of Dana Air's operating licence after
its June 3 flight from Abuja to Lagos crashed
minutes to landing.
One hundred and fifty nine passengers of the
aircraft had died in that crash while several
deaths occurred in the Iju-Ishaga community
into which the aircraft crashed.
Through the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah,
the government said today the company had
passed a “rigorous technical, operational and
financial audit” and could resume normal
commercial activity.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing, but a
preliminary report indicated that both of the
plane’s engines might have failed.
Hmm, ok to hear but dearie, would you ever
again purchase Dana Air's flight tickets even if
they were the cheapest?
